Big Fat Notebook: Our Curriculum Guide

A friend told me about this sweet set of books called Big Fat Notebook  (aff link) that is basically “middle school” in a nutshell so being the homeschooler that likes the easy route I jumped on it. But when I cracked open the books I got exactly what it says, everything written in “notes” form which is GREAT for a basic guide book on what needs to be taught but also somewhat hard to drive home some of the concepts to my stubborn teen so I sat down and cruised the internet for supplemental activities to go along with each section of the BFN (Big Fat Notebook.)

The objective was to get through this amazing set of books in a year… so here is our basic “game plan.” Like I said, I like easy and my teen likes fun so I tried to keep a balance of those things in mind while scheduling. I can’t always accomplish finding free resources that match the easy/fun idea but I did my best, hopefully all my hard work can benefit you as well! Have a great school year!

The following links take you to “Google Documents” with a full year (a work in progress) of educational activities and ideas that line up with the outline of the BFN series!
