November 2018

“November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”

Took a little time to go and try to find some picture requests of headstones at a nearby cemetery using our “Find a Grave” app. The kids are not very impressed to have to come along with us but we made them anyway. Maybe one day they can see the value in doing something for someone who can never repay you. In case you wonder about the stuff wolf pup, we take it with us when we go on outings so our oldest, who is absent from the adventure but present in our heart and mind, is still represented.

November 10th

We did a little geocaching today, along with a picnic! As the kids get older it is harder and harder to find times when we are all able to be together, and on those rare occasions, we always try to go do something as a family.

She has been licensed for two years but now she is officially able to drive alone. Two days before her 18th birthday (intentionally) so that our insurance didn’t skyrocket before she could be the one who paid for it. But it met her personal goal of getting her licenses before she turned 18! She aced the driving test with a 100!! Parallel parking that Dodge truck of hers like a boss!

A little alone time for the hubby and my just wandering around the lake. While I love spending time with the kids when we can, I also love being able to just be us!

Anna’s 18th birthday party with the family! She had to have a hayless hayride too! Can’t believe my baby girl is an adult now!

Just a little walkabout at Boykin Springs! Always a good day when both the kids are in a playful mood and are being silly.

Thanksgiving, so much to be thankful for and so much more I wanted to be thankful for but making the most of what I am given.

A day out with just Adam. We try to still go and do something even when it is just the one kiddo. We went riding down the back roads and even let him practice his driving down an ol’ dirt road. Still hard to believe how big he is getting.

Hiking with the kids at Martin Dies Jr State Park! Anna made a froggy friend along the way. That little frog rode on her hand most of the way around the trail until she made him get off, I bet he was liking the warmth! Adam stepped on a Cottonmouth water moccasin but thankfully it was too cold to do more than just want to get away from his big feet!

Anna took her brother out riding around just her and him now that she is legal to do so. They went to the lake and made a little campfire which she was super proud of being able to make all by themselves. I am glad they are spending quality time together!

Another November come and gone, the year almost over, and a few more memories in the books. Loving my family so very much!

Peace, love, joy, and blessings,
