Becky’s Thoughts

I find it very interesting that YHVH says He wants a contribution from “every man whose heart moves him” … God didn’t want people who were begrudging givers to build His tabernacle, He wanted those who gave with out of love and the joy of their heart!!

Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

If you are feeling reluctant, obligated, strong armed, or anything less than cheerful about your contribution to the Lord, whether it be money, time, goods, or works, I personally think you should not do it. We can not let reasons other than love, move us into service of God, it always is, always was, and must be, a matter of the heart!!

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.  (Proverbs 17:22)
