What This Blog is About
This is a blog about my life and the things in it that give me purpose and gives my life meaning. From faith to family from farming to photography and anything in between. There are plenty of topics for all so feel free to wander around a bit and see if anything catches your interests!

My faith “motto” is this:
“Saved by grace, obedient in love, worshiping in spirit, and walking in truth.”
We are Christians who like to live out our faith in a more Hebraic style. For example, we eat Biblically clean foods, believe that the true Sabbath is Friday evening through Saturday evening, and celebrate the Biblical Holy days. We also believe that we are saved by the Grace of Christ alone, we have been baptized in water for the remission of sins, and baptized in the spirit by the Holy Ghost. I call us “Hebraic Christians.”
As a family, we love spending time together hiking, biking, birding, museums, parks, crafting, and photography to name a few of the things we adore!
I have homeschooled all three of our children since my oldest (now graduated) was in 2nd grade. By the time they are all graduated, I will have put in 25 years teaching! We use “Relaxed” or “Eclectic” homeschooling as our “method.” We love hands-on learning by going and doing as much as possible but we also use a conglomeration of textbooks, websites, and documentaries.
We own 3.5 acres where we grow a lush garden full of purple hull peas, peppers, tomatoes, beans, and other typical vegetables that we “can.” We raise a mini donkey, miniature goats, bronze turkeys, and chickens mostly as pets along with our cats and dogs.
I have found great peace and joy learning how to paint and while I am still very much a novice I would love to share my journey with you all. Check out, Why I started painting.
