Our “Egg-Cellent” Love Marriage Retreat
This is really long, I apologize for that but I had to share it all.
We were invited to a Christian marriage retreat at the house church that my kids have been attending for the last month. This is the last place I would think I needed to go, but I was drawn to it. We didn’t NEED help in our marriage, for the most part, we were good. Time has worked out most of the kinks and we were at a content place now. These are all the things I told my introverted self as I wrestled with the idea of going. I talked myself in and out of it until literally the day of the retreat.
The First People – 4000 B.C. (Unit Study)
**We believe in “Young Earth Creationism” and teach from that viewpoint. In this section, we explore the controversial idea of the Pre-Adamite hypothesis to encourage the children to study to show themselves approved. If you have an issue with these views feel free to skip over that particular material or the first few units that will discuss those views and move on down the timeline to a time period with less controversy. I may use resources that talk about “The Big Bang Theory.” I simply explain to my kids the timing is off and what the word “theory” means. I find no problem with this because I believe that God said, “Let there be light!” and *BANG* there was light! The “bang” that evolutionists believe in, came after the spoken word of GOD!

This is how my Facebook status started… I have noticed when I add new people to my Facebook and once they discover I believe differently from them, they take it upon themselves to try to “bring me back to the faith” or rather bring me back to THEIR faith. It’s OK really, I understand, you see when I was “spiritually immature” I did the same thing.

I promised myself a year… a year of trying to “monetize my blog” (making money at it) …
I really used to LOVE blogging about my life as a homeschooler, our adventures… I blogged much like a diary, it was a therapeutic for me but then March 2014, I decided to try to justify my time spent blogging and attempted to turn it into a “job.” I had heard of others doing it and they would bring in an extra couple hundred dollars a month (or more) just doing what they loved so I thought, “Surely I can do that!”
Lets get this strait right now, I can’t.
