Days are getting warmer and longer and the first quarter of 2018 is gone.

March 3rd

My Aunt and Uncle from Colorado came down for a visit. They try to come down every few years to see everyone.

March 4th

The kids got a wonderful opportunity to work with their big brother on his job for a week. They cleared trees and brush and the best part was getting to feed and play with the baby goats, and of course, making some pretty good money was nice too!

March 11th

We visited the Caddo Indian Mounds with my sister and her family and Anna’s best friend (who because Anna played Cupid, happens to be dating my nephew.) It was a nice little educational trip. I guess I am just a nerd but I love learning about past cultures, seeing how they lived and worked. We enjoyed a nice short hike then we stopped by the state park and let the big kids play on the playground equipment once there was no one else on it. I love seeing my big kids still playing and having fun, even their Uncle got in on the fun a little!

March 13th

Anna is thoroughly enjoying owning a truck. She and her bestie go driving around as much as possible.

March 19th

The weather is warm and lovely so the besties hangout at the lake being silly a lot.

March 21st

The girls once again at the lake, skipping rocks and having fun. Seventeen is such a beautiful age for a girl, I am so glad she has a bestie to share it with!

March 23rd

My friend brought her baby by to see us, he was a preemie and still so tiny even though he is a month old! We rarely turn away a chance for baby lovens! Adam wouldn’t hold him because he was just so little!

March 24th

We had to go get groceries and the kids stayed home, as soon as we left the house, the electricity went out so the kids spent their time sitting in Anna’s truck in the yard being goofy and taking selfies! I am so glad my kids can just be silly together.

March 26th

I sat out with my family, enjoying the beauty of the day under our pergola, drinking in the sweet aroma of our blooming wisteria looking at my family… I am so blessed.

Anna and Jenna once again at the lake, playing in the water, just being silly girls enjoying life.

March 27th

There has been a lot of clearing in the kids old fishing hole behind our property due to a widening of the highway so they had to resort to just fishing in the smaller area at the front of our property. Even with the limited fishing area, Adam did happen to catch a pretty little sun perch!

March 30th

The kids had a good time being silly on the trampoline!

I can’t believe it is already springtime. I see my children growing up right before my eyes and I know my time with them around all the time is coming to a quick end, my heart aches. Lord, please slow this year down a bit…
