Through Trials…
There are days that I can honestly say I have looked up toward Heaven and wondered,”God are you really real?” It is the days I feel most lost, most alone, and most vulnerable. It is the days when I am deep in a trial and wondering “WHY!”

Happy Daze of January 2017

New Year, New Beginnings, that is what I expect for 2017. I want a year that is better… not perfect mind you, there is no such thing as perfect, it may not even be great. I just want a better year and the only way to make something better is to work hard at making it happen and that is exactly what I plan to do!! Enjoy the good and get past the bad… taking one day at a time!
Happy Daze of December 2016
“I heard a bird sing in the dark of December. A magical thing. And sweet to remember. We are nearer to Spring than we were in September. I heard a bird sing in the dark of December.”
― Oliver Herford

We took off the entire month of December from schooling, a much-needed break from a hectic life. While at times we do not formally “homeschool” we are always learning. We spent plenty of time outdoors photographing, enjoying, and investigating God’s creation.
Happy Daze of November 2016
“November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”

November 10th
November is my daughter’s birthday month and so for her birthday I decided to let her cross something off her “bucket list” “Attend a Concert”
Thankfully, the Christian group, The News Boys, were in concert locally this month and the church was going and so we all went together and sat together! It was an awesome event! All the songs we knew we sang along with, hands up in praise, enjoying the energy of the large crowd of worshipers all around us. I was the only one in my family that had ever attended a concert before so it was exciting for everyone! They loved it when everyone help up their phones with the lights on and waved them in the air to the Song “Light up the Sky” by The Afters, who opened for the News Boys but they were really impressed when the News Boys drummers stand had hydraulics and lifted up where he was spinning vertically and playing the drums! It was pretty darn cool! I am so glad I got to share this experience with my family!!
